Eric Van Den Akker
Resident Organist / Associate Conductor
Eric Van Den Akker holds a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management - Logistics Speciality from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He loves his last name - it is often mis-pronouned (its spelled phonetically, which often trips people up!) and finds that is can be highly amusing.
He often jokes (and always wonders) if he should have majored in music education, and attending the annual Texas Music Educators Association convention in San Antonio has recently become one of the highlights of the year for him, where he can go and "geek out" as he puts it.
He has been playing the piano at some level for as long as he can remember. He picked up the trumpet in 5th grade and continued to improve and play it throughout junior high, high school, and college, playing in various ensambles at The University of Utah and Utah State University. He is very proud to have marched with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps in 2007, and has enjoyed volunteering for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps. He attends the Drum Corps International (DCI) world championships whenever possible.
Eric was an instructor for the West Jordan High School Marching Band in the Summer and Fall of 2012. Eric started playing the organ, with his mother as his primary teacher, during his pre-teen years, and has basically been self taught. He was then made a ward organist. He is 27 years old and no matter where he may live in the future, Taylorsville, UT will always be his home.

Jon is originally from Washington state, but has lived in many part of the world during a career in the Air Force. He recently moved back to Salt Lake City to be near family and friends. He is the proud dad of four, and has one grandson.

Bradley has been involved in music for over 12 years. He has performed as both a pianist and vocalist with the Weber State University and Utah State University Chamber Choirs.
