Bryan Horn began his musical career at 11 when he first picked up the saxophone and began to play basic songs. Having no prior knowledge of the instrument or of musical theory, Bryan was selected to be a member of The Middle School Honors Symphony of Middle Tennessee. By age 13, Bryan auditioned for, and was selected to be a member of the Tennessee State Honors Symphony, holding the position of first chair for three consecutive years.
Upon entering high school, Bryan auditioned for and was selected to hold first chair of the Tennessee State High School Honors Orchestra, as well as second chair of the Tennessee State High School Honors Jazz Band. In addition, he held the positions of section leader of the Beech High School Marching Band and first chair of the Beech High School Jazz Band for three years.
At the age of 17, Bryan began a new musical venture when he auditioned for Beech High School's most prestigious choir, the Melodic Impact Show Choir. Without prior singing experience, Bryan was selected to join the elite group of singers and dancers, and represented the school at the Branson Show Shop Invitational in Branson, MO, garnishing a 5th Place national rating. He also was a member of the Tennessee State High School Honors Choir.
Bryan continued his singing career as a member of the Latin Choir at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nashville, TN. He has performed at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York, and was a guest conductor for the Tennessee Catholic Choirs Association. Upon his conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints in 2001, Bryan has performed with such premier ensambles as The Men's Choir of Brigham Young University, The Latter-Day Celebration Choir of The Orem Institue of Religion, Rob Gardner's Spire Orchestra and Choir, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He has held callings as a gospel doctrine teacher, along with ward choir director.
Bryan served an honorable mission to Las Vegas, NV. After his missionary service in Nevada, he was a tour guide at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City.
When not leading the choir, you can usually find Bryan riding horses, as he is an active participant in the sport of rodeo as a team roper. He also loves to camp, cook, watch good movies and read good books.
